Travel Newborn Nursery RN - $1,980 per week

Job Summary

The professional is a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Newborn Nursery located at a healthcare facility in Salem, Virginia. This role involves providing comprehensive care to newborns and supporting maternal and pediatric services in a busy maternity care center. The position requires active engagement in various neonatal and postpartum procedures within a dynamic clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to newborns
• Support maternal and pediatric services
• Perform labor and delivery duties
• Assist with cesarean sections
• Provide postpartum and newborn care
• Perform OBED triage
• Manage inductions
• Collaborate with midwives
• Float within the unit to other areas of the same department as required

Schedule

Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Experience in obstetrics and newborn care
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Current AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cesarean section procedures
• Experience in circulating, assisting, or scrub roles
