Department focuses on Adult Trauma Population, Post Surgical Management for General Surgery, Vascular Surgery (Carotid, etc.), Neuro Surgery.

Patient Ratio 1:1-3.8 Beds.

BLS (AHA)
ACLS (AHA)
Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals
Ascension Pharmacology Exam with minimum 80% score, updated every 3 years
Ascension Specialty Exam with minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score, updated every 3 years
Ascension Color Vision test, updated every 3 years
Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA Topics, updated every 3 years
NIH Certification (Group A updated yearly, Group B-F every 2 years)
Ascension EKG Exam with minimum 80% score, updated every 3 years
Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation
Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding completed onsite
Ascension Badge Photo (forward facing headshot with white or blue background)
Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or Positive IGG Titer; no declinations accepted
Fit Test required for all travelers, updated annually
Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
Documented proof of two Varicella vaccines, serological evidence of immunity, or verification of history; no declinations accepted
Valid Tdap within 10 years; no declinations accepted

Ascension Resume required for submission
Signed Assignment Agreement required for onboarding
Flu vaccine is optional; flu season October 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026; exemptions accepted but mask required
Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire
Ascension Unit Specific Checklist optional for onboarding, to be uploaded by unit leader within a week
Hiring Manager Evaluation is optional post-assignment
Ascension Name Change Document optional
