About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our 20-bed Neuro Unit in Morgantown, WV. The unit cares for patients with various neurological conditions, including strokes and postoperative spinal patients. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:3 for step-down patients and 1:5-6 for floor patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to neuro patients, including those with DBS, strokes, and seizures.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient status and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families about health management and care plans.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

• BLS certification (required); ACLS and NIHSS (preferred).
• Strong overall neuro experience.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Schedule

• Full-time night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• 12-hour rotating shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Weekends and holidays rotated as needed.
