Travel Neuro PCU RN - $1,895 per week

Job Description

Join the Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, a 703-bed Magnet-designated teaching hospital and the region's only Level I Trauma Center. This is an excellent opportunity for RNs passionate about neurological care in a nationally recognized stroke and trauma program.

Assignment Highlights

• 13-week travel contract
• Day Shift: 3x12s (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• EPIC charting
• First-time travelers welcome
• Block scheduling available
• Local candidates accepted (radius rule applies)

Unit Details

• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4–5
• Adult Neuro PCU
• 5 dedicated beds for continuous 24-hour epilepsy monitoring
• Stroke, neurosurgical recovery, neurological disorders, and medical overflow patients
• Float within clinical skill set as needed

Requirements

• Active Virginia or Compact RN license (pending accepted under qualifying conditions)
• Current:BLS, ACLS, NIS, SHSU, EPIC experience required
• Experience with: Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition, IV therapy and blood product administration, Central and peripheral line care, Cardiac drips (non-titrated), Rapid Response and Code Team participation, Oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management, Isolation precautions

Schedule Requirements

• Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
• One holiday required during the 13-week assignment
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift every 2 weeks
