About the role
The Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU Neuro) registered nurse position is located in Falls Church, Virginia. This role involves providing specialized neurological critical care, supporting patients with complex neurological conditions in a busy ICU setting. The position requires adaptability and a strong clinical background to meet the needs of acute care patients.
Schedule
- Rotating shift, 12 hours per day
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Potential to float to the Neuro Intermediate Care Unit
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized neurological critical care in an 18-bed neuro ICU
- Patient ratios of 1:2 (flexible based on acuity)
- Use Epic electronic medical record system
- Adhere to dress code: navy blue pants with solid navy-blue or white tops
- May include additional orientation shifts
Requirements
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Valid NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification
- 2 years of ICU Neuro experience

- CCRN certification
- SCRN certification
- CNRN certification
