About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a new telemetry unit. The unit is equipped with advanced bedside monitoring technology to ensure patient safety and care continuity. The RN will work collaboratively with other staff members while adhering to the healthcare facility's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a telemetry setting, monitoring vital signs and interpreting cardiac rhythms.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions, medications, and care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (Epic).
  • Participate in shift-to-shift handoffs and communicate pertinent patient information to incoming staff.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in South Carolina or compact license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
  • Experience with telemetry equipment and interpretation of dysrhythmias is essential.
  • Community hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current CPR certification.

Pay

  • Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

  • Night shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, 3x12 hour shifts.
  • Required to work every other weekend.
