Travel MS/Tele RN - $2,161 per week

About the Role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Float Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York. This position requires a night shift schedule, working 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a complex care unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong telemetric skills and a comprehensive ability to manage various patient needs, including patients in orthopedic overflow and those requiring long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a complex care unit
• Monitor patients' telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias accurately
• Manage and care for patients with feeding tubes, IVs, central lines, and PICC lines
• Administer blood products and follow heparin protocols as required
• Participate in rapid response and code teams effectively
• Deliver care for orthopedic trauma, total joint replacements, and manage surgical drains
• Utilize isolation precautions and wound care protocols, including Wound Vac management
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with previous charge experience required
• Patient ratio experience of 1:5 to 1:7 in a MedSurg environment
• Current New York state RN license is mandatory (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Certifications: BLS and valid NIHSS in hand at time of submission
• Experience with Epic charting system is essential
• Must be willing to float as needed
