About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with expertise in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry in an orthopedic setting. The nurse will join a team focused on providing specialized care for adult patients recovering from various spinal surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Manage comprehensive patient care, focusing on orthopedic spine conditions.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs in accordance with treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and pain management.
• Handle complex patient diagnoses including Med/Surg, Tele, cardiac issues, and more.
• Perform special procedures such as bedside lumbar punctures and post-surgical care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an MS/Tele (Ortho) environment.
• Active SC or multistate RN license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• 1 year of experience with the EPIC charting system.
• Ortho experience is essential.

Schedule

• 13-week contract position.
• 36 hours per week, night shift: 4x12-Hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30).
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend with 6 weekend shifts included.
