About the role

This is a 13-week night-shift assignment in an acute-care hospital with 239 beds and Level 2 trauma designation. The unit uses Cerner for charting.

Responsibilities

• Aneurysms and repair
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Blood product administration
• Central line care and management
• Feeding tube care and management
• Heparin protocols
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Isolation precautions and PPE
• MS/Tele monitoring
• Nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• Non-invasive airway management
• Oxygen tank management
• Pacemaker (temporary/permanent) care
• Chest tube management (Emerson/PleurEvac)
• CVA (cerebrovascular accident) care
• Pre/post hemodialysis management
• Peripheral line care and management
• PICC line management
• Post-cardiac angiogram care
• Post-MI care
• Pre/post cardiac catheterization
• Renal failure management
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Substance withdrawal management
• Surgical drain care
• Telemetry (remote monitoring)
• Tracheostomy care and management
• Thrombolytic agent administration
• Use of rapid response/code teams
• Wound care and wound vac management

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification

Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (19:00 – 07:30)

Pay

$2,223 to $2,416 weekly (includes taxable wages and tax-free expense reimbursements).
