Travel MRI Technologist - $3,323 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist for a 13-week travel job in San Francisco, CA. The position requires 40 hours per week and operates on an 8-hour shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients
• Provide reassurance and support to patients as needed
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment
• Aid radiologists with procedure performance
• Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images, and label appropriately
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist
• BLS certification
• ARMRIT (MRI) or ARRT (MR) certification
• State-specific licensing if required
• Solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty

• BLS
• 3 years of experience
