About the role

Immediate travel opening for a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist. The MRI Tech operates MRI equipment to produce accurate images for physician interpretation, prepares and cares for patients undergoing MRI scans, and ensures safety compliance throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients with reassurance and support
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to each procedure
• Interpret physicians’ written instructions correctly
• Position patients using immobilization and protective equipment to meet government regulations and ensure patient/staff safety
• Assist the radiologist during procedures
• Start IVs and administer contrast media as directed and per protocol
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images, verify exposure sequence, and label appropriately
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience (note: one section references 2 years; additional certifications may be required before assignment)
• BLS certification
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT national certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging
• State‑specific licensing where required
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for extended periods without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Pay

Pay package based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
