Travel MRI Technologist - $3,003 per week

About the role

We are looking for a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Milwaukee, WI. The right MRI Tech must have 1 year of experience. As an MRI Tech, you will be responsible for the use of magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. MRI Techs are also responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing MRI imaging.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff
• Assist radiologist with procedure performance
• Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist
• BLS certification
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging
• State-specific licensing when required
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology

Pay

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Shift: 8 hours, evenings. 40 hours per week. Duration: 13 weeks. Start Date: 11/16/2026.
