Travel MRI Technologist - $2,895 per week

About the role

Travel MRI Technologist position in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 13-week assignment starting ASAP. Rotating 10-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week. Employment type: Travel.

This role requires independent performance of imaging procedures in a clinical setting, demonstrating advanced technical skills and adherence to safety protocols. The position involves reviewing physician orders, preparing patients, and ensuring accurate documentation to support diagnostic imaging services.

Responsibilities

• Practice and maintain MRI safety standards, maintain clinical competency, perform procedures involving the reviewing, processing, and archiving of imaging data.
• Prior to exams, read and present relevant information to physicians, verify patient identity using two identifiers, and apply departmental protocols for optimal image acquisition including contrast preparation and administration.
• Document patient history and ensure all exams are properly coded, networked, and billed.
• Interact professionally with patients and team members, providing instructions and comfort measures while maintaining dignity and respect.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills, teamwork, and adherence to departmental and system-wide standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain competency in all equipment and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program with MR registry (acquired within 18 months of hire or within 12 months for certain graduates).
• Must possess an ARRT Certificate, ARMRIT, NMTC, or ARDMS registration, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.

Rotating shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Pay

Pay package based on 10-hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
