About the role
American Traveler is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Potsdam, New York.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Siemens Espree 1.5T large bore system
- Imaging studies including brain, spine, abdomen, pelvis, breast, musculoskeletal, and vascular MRA/MRV
- 3x12-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
- Adult acute care patient population
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience
- Current BLS certification required
- ARRT (MR) or equivalent certification required; state license required if applicable
- Proficiency with Siemens MRI systems strongly preferred
- Experience with contrast media preparation and administration, and peripheral IV starts
- Advanced imaging technique experience required, including Diffusion, Gradient Echo, MIP, Multiplanar Reconstruction, Spin Echo, T1/T2 Weighted, and Surface Coil imaging
- Familiarity with isolation precautions and PPE protocols
Requirements
- Reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- No scrub color requirement; scrubs are not provided
- Two professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
- All time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
Benefits
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

- Neurological (brain, cranial nerves, spine)
- MSK (shoulder, knee, hip, extremities)
- Abdominal, pelvic, breast, and vascular (MRA/MRV) imaging
- Advanced imaging technique experience required, including Diffusion, Gradient Echo, MIP, Multiplanar Reconstruction, Spin Echo, T1/T2 Weighted, and Surface Coil imaging
- Familiarity with isolation precautions and PPE protocols
