Travel MRI Technologist - $2,819 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist for a travel job in Rockport, Maine. This position is for 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, and 8-hour shifts, with a duration from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients
• Provide reassurance and support to patients as needed
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment
• Aid radiologists with procedure performance
• Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images, and sequence of exposure and label appropriately
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist
• BLS certification
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification
• State-specific licensing if required
• A sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty

Pay

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
