The role performs diagnostic examinations under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner, applies magnetic resonance safety principles, and selects appropriate protocols and technical factors for image acquisition. The technologist also educates patients, addresses questions, and supports accurate digital image management. Job Details Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, Monday through Friday, with variable schedules of 7:00 AM3:30 PM or 12:00 PM8:30 PM; 40 hours per week. Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of MRI technologist experience; certification as an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Magnetic Resonance (ARRT MR) technologist or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; graduation from an accredited magnetic resonance imaging program or a radiologic technology program, or equivalent education and experience. Preferred Qualifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography (ARRT R) certification and prior experience in an acute care setting. Additional Information: Responsibilities include performing MRI examinations for patients of all ages, recognizing contraindications and risks associated with high magnetic fields and radiofrequency energy, applying knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, safely moving and positioning patients, operating computerized systems, and transmitting, archiving, and retrieving digital images through picture archiving and communication systems (PACS).
