Travel MRI Technologist - $2,645 per week
Job Summary
The MRI Technologist position is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role involves operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce high-quality cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes. The role requires preparing patients, positioning them appropriately, and performing MRI examinations in accordance with department protocols, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
Job Details
Schedule: Evenings, 8 hours shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program or an MRI accredited program;
Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT);
BLS certification;
0 to 6 months of related experience;
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology;
Able to organize and prioritize work effectively.
Job Duties
Performs MRI examinations according to department policy and protocols.
Includes preparing and positioning patients for MRI procedures of various parts of the body.
Positioning procedures involve setting up coils, monitoring devices, and ensuring patient comfort.
Performs Quality Control tests on departmental equipment and reports discrepancies.
Collections and evaluates relevant examination information from scheduling, patients, and referring physicians, including screening information.
Maintains departmental records and patient information accurately.
Ensures safety procedures are followed for outpatients, inpatients, and staff, screening patients and visitors for metal objects or implants.
Evaluates imaging results for quality and completeness, manipulating images through console operations, and verifies exams in a timely manner.
Sends images to the picture archiving and communication system (PACS) and maintains accurate documentation.
Works directly with patients, other healthcare professionals, and internal and external customers with professionalism and patience.
Recognizes problems during procedures and takes appropriate actions.
Seeks advice from appropriate resources when protocols are unclear.

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
