Travel MRI Technologist - $2,603 per week

About the role

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Greensboro, North Carolina. The role involves performing MRI scans on Siemens 1.5T and 3T scanners, assisting with breast biopsies and research studies, starting IVs independently, and working autonomously as the sole technologist per machine. Epic system knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations on Siemens 1.5T and 3T equipment.
• Assist with breast biopsy procedures and research studies as needed.
• Start IVs independently for contrast administration.
• Operate the MRI scanner independently – one technologist per machine.
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for scheduling and documentation.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the exam.

Requirements

• Current ARRT (MR) certification.
• Minimum 5 years of recent MRI technologist experience.
• Ability to start IVs independently (required).
• MRSO certification preferred.
• Experience assisting with breast biopsies and research studies preferred.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR required.

Skills

• Independent operation of MRI scanners.
• IV insertion and contrast administration.
• Knowledge of breast biopsy assistance and research protocols.
• Familiarity with Siemens 1.5T and 3T systems.
• Epic system navigation.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.

Schedule

• 3 × 12‑hour shifts per week (36 hours guaranteed).
• Shifts are day‑only; no nights or on‑call required.
• Must be available to work any three shifts assigned between Monday and Sunday.
• Assignment length: 13 weeks minimum.
