About the role
American Traveler is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities
- MRI department within a main hospital imaging services setting
- GE MRI equipment used on-site
- Meditech EMR system
- Night shift schedule: Monday through Wednesday, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend availability required
- No on-call requirement for MRI
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
- ARRT or ARMIT certification required
- BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted); certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
- Licenses required if applicable
- SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
- One professional reference required
Qualifications
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- First-time travelers will not be considered — candidates must have had active MRI experience within the last 6 months with no gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- Local candidates are not accepted; a 50-mile radius rule applies with no exceptions
Skills
- Knowledge of MRI equipment and procedures
- Experience with Meditech EMR system
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
