Travel MRI Technologist - $2,226 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Greenville, South Carolina. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. The MRI Technologist will operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment, ensure image quality, prepare and care for patients, and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain procedures, providing reassurance and support.
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to the procedure.
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions.
• Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with regulations and ensure safety.
• Assist the radiologist with procedure performance.
• Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol.
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images, sequence of exposure, and label appropriately.
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging.
• State‑specific licensing when required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and to bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
