Travel MRI Technician - $2,968 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Warwick, Rhode Island. The position is 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts, travel employment type. The MRI Technologist operates magnetic resonance imaging equipment, ensures image accuracy, prepares and cares for patients undergoing MRI imaging, and collaborates with radiologists.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and ensure safety of patients and staff
• Assist radiologist with procedure performance
• Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure, and label appropriately
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist (2 years preferred per additional requirements)
• BLS certification
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT national certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging
• State‑specific licensing where required
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for extended periods
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment start

Schedule

13‑week travel assignment; 36 hours per week; 12‑hour day shifts.

Pay

Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
