Travel MRI Technician - $2,523 per week

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Wichita, Kansas.

About the role

This is a travel position with one of our top healthcare clients. The role requires 40 hours per week on an evening shift (8 hours).

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners safely and efficiently to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injury.
• Ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors around the MRI scanner’s magnetic field.
• Position patients and coils on the scanner table.
• Inject contrast media as required.
• Set appropriate technical parameters and operate MRI equipment, observing image data during scans.
• Identify differences between normal and abnormal images.
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as professional guidelines.
• Deliver quality, cost-effective, and patient-focused care in a timely and compassionate manner.
• Maintain a safe work environment for staff and patients, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Valid state radiology registration as required by state law.
• Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• Eighteen months of MRI Technologist experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
