About the Role
Responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures under the supervision of a radiologist. Duties include positioning patients, operating equipment, and documenting findings.
Responsibilities
- Position patients appropriately for imaging studies
- Operate MRI equipment to acquire diagnostic images
- Document patient information and imaging findings accurately
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols as needed
- Prepare and administer contrast media as required
- Perform image post-processing techniques as necessary
- Utilize various imaging sequences as directed
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
Requirements
- Experience: 1 year
- Required Certifications & Skills: ARMRI, BLS, ARRT R, ARRT MR
- Foot, GE, Hand, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Knee, Orbits, Abdomen, Brain, Cervical, Chest, Cranial nerves, Diffusion (non-brain), Face/soft tissue neck, Gradient Echo Imaging, Head MRA, Head MRV, Hip/bony pelvis, Image post-processing (Apparent diffusion coefficient mapping, subtraction), Lower extremity long bones, Lumbar, Maximum intensity projection (MIP), Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), Neck MRV, PACS, Preparation and/or administration of contrast media, Sacrum/coccyx, Spin Echo Images, Spinal trauma, Starting Peripheral IV’s, Shoulder, Thoracic, Sternum, Surface Coils, T-1 Weighted Images, T-2 Weighted Images, Upper extremity long bones
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT)
- BLS Certification
- ARRT MR Certification
