Travel MRI Tech - $2,728 per week

About the role

Focus Staff is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 12‑week contract assignment in Findlay, Ohio. The position requires a highly motivated, energetic professional willing to support a friendly, positive, and professional environment. Shifts are 5×8 evenings (40 hours per week). Start date is 11/09/2026.

Responsibilities

• Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross‑sectional images of the patient’s body for diagnostic purposes.
• Perform related technological functions under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, exercising independent judgment to ensure optimal diagnostic quality and safe, efficient processes.
• Conduct patient studies according to established protocols, including positioning specified coils near the area of interest.
• Operate imaging and auxiliary equipment — keying scan sequences, adjusting transmitters and receivers, and capturing images via camera keyboard.
• Interview patients to explain MRI procedures, address concerns, and demonstrate tact, courtesy, and poise with patients, staff, and visitors.
• Ensure patient and staff safety: explain safety protocols, require removal of hazardous metal objects, alert staff to metal‑related dangers around the magnet, and monitor patients via closed‑circuit TV.
• Orient new hires and train MRI technologists, students, and trainees.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of regular (20+ hours per week) continuous recent experience as an MRI Technologist, fully proficient in all duties of an MRI Technologist II.
• Current license in the required state.
• BLS certification.
• Full proficiency in MRI with thorough knowledge of protocols for complex MRI procedures.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to present information clearly in one‑on‑one and small‑group settings to customers, clients, and colleagues.
• Ability to learn position‑relevant applications.
• Two years of hospital experience in a clinical area; EP experience preferred.

Pay

Pay depends on location and experience. The pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
