Travel MRI Tech - $2,594 per week

Assignment Overview

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with Siemens scanner experience for a teaching hospital assignment in St. Louis, Missouri. The facility is a short-term acute care, teaching, Level 1 Trauma center with a hospital-based MRI unit.

• Daily caseload of 100–150 patients per technologist
• Siemens scanners: Espree, Trio, Aera, Skyra, Sola, and Vida
• PACS and Epic charting system
• Patient populations: Outpatient, Inpatient, ER/Trauma, NICU, and Adult ICU
• May float within scope to meet facility needs; no floating to sister facilities
• No on-call requirements

Schedule

• Shift: Days, 3 × 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Typical days: Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday
• 36 hours per week
• One Saturday per month if needed
• One holiday on contract if needed

Requirements

Required:

• Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification
• State license if applicable
• Siemens equipment experience

Preferred:

• IV starts and PACS experience
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience
• Imaging skills: abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, breast, spine, and musculoskeletal studies
• Experience with CINE, Diffusion, Gradient Echo Imaging, Image Post-Processing, MIP, MRP, Perfusion, Peripheral MRA, spectroscopy, spin echo images, surface coils, and T1/T2 weighted images
• Ability to work with two of the facility’s three imaging software platforms

Additional Details

• First-time travelers accepted
• Black scrub color required
• RTO limited to no more than 7 days per contract; no RTO during the first week
• Local candidates not accepted within 75 miles of the facility
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to this facility system as a traveler
• Standard travelers may stay up to 18 months with a required 3-month break in service afterward
• Facial hair must allow for proper respirator fit testing or must be shaved (no exceptions)

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend; amount to be determined.
