About the role
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 1.5 Tesla GE Artist MRI experience and a minimum of 1 year of MRI experience for a Level III trauma center in Farmington, New Mexico. This is a 13-week travel assignment starting November 2, 2026, with 36 hours per week (12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday). Job ID: P-775863.
Responsibilities
- Work in the MRI Department of a 198-bed hospital
- Perform full body MRI procedures on patients of all ages (adult, geriatric, pediatric)
- Operate 1.5 Tesla GE Artist MRI scanner
- Use Cerner EHR system
- Periodic on-call required during the week
- No floating required
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ARRT CT and Radiography license
- New Mexico state license (if applicable)
- Experience with full body MRI procedures
Schedule
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Friday through Sunday (36 hours per week). Periodic on-call during the week.

The facility is a Level III trauma center receiving Level I, II, and III trauma cases via air transport. It offers medical, surgical, and rehabilitation services including a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, inpatient behavioral health unit, and day surgery center. Accredited in PCI, Mammography, and Laboratory services. Located in Farmington, New Mexico, in the San Juan River Valley.
