Travel MRI Tech - $2,317 per week

About the role

The client in Butte, MT is seeking a licensed MRI Technologist for a 12-week contract assignment. This is a travel opportunity with 36-hour workweeks and 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Operates magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes.
  • Performs patient studies according to set protocols, including placing specified coils near the area of interest.
  • Adjusts transmitters and receivers, and keys in data on the keyboard of the camera to photograph images.
  • Interviews patients to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures and address their concerns.
  • Ensures patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols, requesting the removal of hazardous metal objects, alerting staff of dangers, and monitoring patients via closed circuit TV.
  • Orients new hires and trains MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of regular (20+ hours per week) continuous recent experience as a MRI Technologist.
  • Fully proficient in all duties required of a MRI Technologist II.
  • License in the required state.
  • BLS certification.
  • Knowledge of MRI protocols and the ability to perform complex MRI procedures.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn applications relevant to the position.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a clinical area, with EP preferred.

Pay
