American Traveler is hiring an experienced MRI Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma Center and teaching hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee. This 13‑week travel assignment starts November 22, 2026, with 36 hours per week across three 12‑hour day shifts. One opening available. Job ID: P‑764051.

Schedule

• Shift pattern: 3 × 12‑hour day shifts
• Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
• Monday: 12:30 PM – 10:00 PM
• No on‑call requirements
• Orientation begins on Mondays with online computer‑based learning modules

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI studies of the abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal regions
• Perform special imaging procedures including CINE, diffusion, gradient echo imaging, perfusion, and spectroscopy
• Perform cardiovascular MR procedures including MR Angio, MR Aortogram, and MR Cardiac with and without contrast
• Operate GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba MRI equipment with PACS integration
• Work across Adult Acute Care, Adult ICU, Adult Outpatient, ER/Trauma, Pediatric Acute Care, and Pediatric Outpatient settings
• Use Epic charting system (experience preferred)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a fully trained MRI Technologist
• ARRT (R) required; ARRT (MR) preferred
• AHA BLS certification required (AHA is the only accepted certifying body)
• State license required if applicable
• Community hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Proficiency with contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, and peripheral IV starts
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
• Management or lead experience preferred
• Skilled in Epic charting system preferred

• Candidates must reside 100+ miles from the facility’s service area; local candidates are not accepted
• First‑time travelers will be considered given the fully trained experience requirement
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit‑testing guidelines
• Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined
