About the role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Maternal - Newborn for a travel nursing job in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Responsibilities
- Educates and assists new mothers with physical and emotional needs during the post partum period.
- Cares for both moms and their newborns after delivery.
- Makes sure mothers recover properly following delivery.
- Recognizes and addresses postpartum depression in new moms.
- Teaches new parents how to care for, bathe, breastfeed, or bottle-feed the newborn and monitor their health.
Requirements
- Active RN License
- Accredited nursing program degree
- BLS, ACLS & NRP Certification
- Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Mother/Baby setting
