Travel Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum RN - $2,587 per week

About the Role

Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel nursing job in Charlotte, North Carolina, specializing in Post Partum care. The role involves providing comprehensive care for both mothers and newborns in a variety of settings, including Labor and Delivery, Couplet Care, Antepartum, and Level 1 Nursery.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) settings.
• Manage low-risk and varied-risk patients.
• Assist in gynecological surgeries as needed based on census.
• Perform IV starts, circulate in the OR for C-sections, and manage postoperative recovery in PACU.
• Monitor fetal health and administer medications, including pain management techniques like epidural and PCA.
• Provide neonatal care and triage obstetrical patients as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery and Couplet Care.
• Proficiency in Fetal Monitoring, IV Therapy, Medication Administration, and Neonatal Care.
• Certifications: AWHONN Beginner/Intermediate, BCLS, FHM, NRP.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, typically from 18:45 to 07:15.
• Availability for 8 weekend shifts per 13-week contract.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in Antepartum and Level 1 Nursery care.
• Familiarity with pain management techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in ACLS and AWHONN Advanced.
• Experience with triaging obstetrical patients.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, typically from 18:45 to 07:15, with 8 weekend shifts required per 13-week contract. Flexible scheduling options may be accommodated with prior approval.

Unit Details

• Unit has 15 rooms and 17 beds, including 8 LDRP rooms, 3 observation rooms, and 3 triage rooms.
• Target ratios: L&D 1:1-2, Couplet Care 1:3 (average).
• Special equipment available to ensure quality patient care.
• Comprehensive 24-hour orientation program, including general hospital and hands-on unit training.
• Scrubs provided in standard blue color.
