In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). Key Responsibilities Monitor and assess patients experiencing conditions such as sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, and more. Administer medications and interventions for alcohol withdrawal, overdose, multi-organ failure, respiratory failure/shock, and other critical conditions. Participate in management protocols including post-cardiac arrest care and targeted temperature management. Utilize advanced therapies and equipment including Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), EKOS, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), and Impella. Maintain a nurse-patient ratio of 1:2, with opportunities for 1:1 care based on patient acuity. Schedule and Requirements Shift: 4x12 Nights (19:00 - 07:00) Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend Must have a valid New York nursing license in hand. Epic charting experience is required. Local candidates will not be considered; applicants must reside outside a 75-mile radius. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Qualifications Current and valid New York State Registered Nurse license. Experience in a critical care environment, particularly in the MICU. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
