Travel Mental Health - $2,378 per week

About the role

Horizon Health is seeking a travel Mental Health therapist for a 13-week assignment in Ocala, Florida. This is a full-time, day-shift position with a 5x8 schedule including weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct therapeutic groups for patients
• Interview and develop psychological histories, assessing therapeutic needs of the individual and family
• Develop appropriate treatment objectives and weekly treatment summaries
• Act as the patient’s and family’s primary contact during the patient’s stay and advocate with the treatment team
• Work as a liaison with outside agencies and individuals to coordinate discharge planning with the treatment team and family
• Provide high-quality patient care, assessing patients’ functional needs and outcomes; consult with and participate as part of the patients’ treatment team
• Work within a team environment to ensure each treatment modality is appropriate for the patient
• Complete and maintain all required documentation in a timely manner consistent with policies and regulations

Requirements

• Education: Master’s degree from an accredited school in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology
• Licensure/Certifications: licensed in the state of Florida (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC) is preferred but not required
• Experience: At least one year of experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility with direct experience in family and group therapies and treatment skills; strong clinical assessment skills required; adolescent drug addiction experience highly desired

Pay

Estimated pay rate: $2,114–$2,378 per week (bi-weekly pay). Enhanced hourly rate and tax-exempt stipend where applicable.
