Travel Therapist Job Duties/Responsibilities: - Conduct therapeutic groups for patients - Interview and develop psychological histories, assessing the therapeutic needs of the individual and family - Develop appropriate treatment objectives and weekly treatment summaries - Act as the patients’ and families’ primary contact during the patient’s stay as well as their advocate with the treatment team - Work as a liaison with outside agencies and individuals for the purpose of developing and coordinating discharge planning with the treatment team and family. - Provide high-quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment of patients’ functional needs and outcomes; consulting with and participating as part of the patients’ treatment team. - Work within a team environment to ensure that each treatment modality is appropriate for the patient. - Complete and maintain all required documentation in a timely manner consistent with policies and regulations. Travel Therapist Job Requirements: - Education: Master’s degree from an accredited school in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology - Licensure/Certifications: licensed in the state of Florida (ex. LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC) is preferred but not required - Experience: at least one year of experience in a psychiatric health care facility with direct experience in family and group therapies and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills, adolescent drug addiction experience highly desired.
