Travel Medical Technologist - Lab - $1,848 per week

About the Role

MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, is seeking a quality Medical Laboratory Technologist for a 13‑week travel contract in Price, Utah. This is not a Medical Assistant position.

• Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8‑hour evening shifts

Responsibilities

• Test blood and bodily fluids using complex laboratory equipment to ascertain a wide variety of information.
• Examine specimens for bacteria, viruses, or parasites.
• Measure levels of drugs or other chemicals in the blood to help ensure medications are at their most therapeutic levels.
• Analyze the chemical content of blood to determine deficiencies in nutrients or excesses of cholesterol or blood sugars.
• Operate cell counters, cultures, microscopes, and other laboratory equipment.
• Follow the lab’s protocol for analyzing, interpreting, and delivering test results.

Requirements

• Active certification through ASCP, AMT, HEW, or AAB required.
• Minimum 18 months of Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician experience required.
• A state license may be required.
• Basic grasp of scientific laboratory procedures, including using laboratory equipment and generating reports from laboratory tests.

Pay & Schedule

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Weekly payment estimates include a gross estimate of hourly wages and reimbursements for meal, incidental, and housing expenses; your recruiter will confirm eligibility and provide details.
