Travel Medical Technologist - $1,953 per week

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of medical laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of a licensed medical technologist.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine and specialized laboratory tests using automated and manual methods.
• Handling complex specimens such as platelet clumps, turbid samples, and abnormal cell findings.
• Interpreting test results and reporting findings accurately to healthcare providers.
• Maintaining accurate and complete patient records.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist experience.
• Travel experience required.
• Cerner experience required.
• Certification required: ASCP, AMT, or AAB.

Qualifications

Medical Laboratory Technologists and Medical Laboratory Scientists only. Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) are not eligible.

Skills

• Hands-on experience with Sysmex and Cella Vision systems.
• Strong hematology skills, including performing manual differentials.
• Experience working in a 600+ bed hospital laboratory.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume laboratory.

$40 - $45 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

8 hours, nights (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend required.

Guaranteed Hours

40 hours per week.
