Travel Medical Surgical Telemetry RN - $2,650 per week

About the role

Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Telemetry) nurse position in the healthcare setting. This role involves providing patient care in a Medical Surgical with Telemetry unit, with a focus on working with ED HOLD patients and participating in a resource pool with float responsibilities. The assignment is in Plattsburgh, New York, with a duration of approximately 16-26 weeks, starting 09/21/2026 and ending 01/10/2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Medical Surgical with Telemetry unit
• Work with ED HOLD patients
• Participate in a resource pool with float duties
• Work every other weekend or as scheduled to meet unit and patient care needs
• Work 2 out of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, New Year's Day/Eve)

Requirements

• Valid NY nursing license or proof of application with applied date
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Epic experience from within the past 2 years (mandatory)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Med Surg / Telemetry nurse
• NIHSS certification prior to start date
• Explanation of any employment gaps over 90 days
• Comprehensive work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type for submission
• Reliable transportation strongly recommended (public transportation unavailable; vehicles should be equipped for winter months)

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Float rotation may be required

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
