Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Telemetry Assignment
Duration: This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) with every other weekend rotation.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit, providing care for patients, primarily focusing on general surgical needs, both pre-op and post-op. This role requires the nurse to float to different Cone Health campuses as needed for patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage patient care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Perform remote telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
  • Provide support for general surgical patients and manage care pre and post-operation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Pharmacy, and more.
  • Ensure compliance with patient safety and quality standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit.
  • Active RN license in the state.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
  • Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
  • Charge RN experience is preferred.
  • Tel - remote monitoring experience required.
