Job Summary
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry is sought for a healthcare organization located in Wilson, North Carolina. This position involves providing care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy telemetry unit, with a focus on cardiac, surgical, and general medical conditions. The role supports a team-oriented environment, emphasizing critical thinking and patient-centered care.
Schedule
Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree (BSN preferred)
- 1.5+ years of experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with Meditech electronic medical record system
- Skills in EKG interpretation and critical thinking
Preferred Qualifications
- Managing discharges and admissions
- Basic knowledge of cardiac drips
- Experience with common diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, post-cardiac cath care
- Able to work in a team environment
Additional Information
- Unit equipment includes Welch Allyn vital signs machines, Hoyer lift with weight scale, Abbott glucometer, computers on wheels, TR band, and Baxter IV pumps
- Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as CHF, CP, ARF, COPD, uncontrolled diabetics, CKD, and post-cardiac catheterization care
- The facility is located approximately 45 miles east of Raleigh, near Lake Wilson, and offers a local rate of $46.80 per hour for candidates residing 60 miles or more from the organization

Pay Package
Based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
