Travel RN – Med Surg/Telemetry Float Pool
Position Highlights: Unit: Med Surg/Telemetry Float Pool
Shift: 12-hour shifts (7:00–7:00)
Orientation: 1–2 shifts with a preceptor
Adult & Geriatric patient population
Float Pool Coverage: Travelers float between multiple Med Surg/Telemetry specialty units, including: Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehabilitation, Renal, Bariatrics, Orthopedics, Trauma, Emergency Department Observation

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience
Neuro experience preferred

Required Certifications

BLS
ACLS

Unit Details

• Patient Ratio: 1:5–6 (based on acuity)
• Charge nurse available on each unit
• CNA support available
• Respiratory Therapy support for CPAP, BiPAP, vents, and other respiratory equipment

Traveler Details

• Patient Population: Cardiac, Neurology, Orthopedic, Oncology, Renal, Urology (post-surgical), General Surgery, Gynecology, ENT, General Medicine, Long-term stable patients
• Scheduling: Leadership creates schedules every 6 weeks
  Travelers must be flexible to help fill staffing gaps
  All time-off requests must be submitted before the assignment begins
