Travel Medical-Surgical Stepdown RN - $2,069 per week

About the role

Voca Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a 13-week assignment starting July 28, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio. The position offers 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, and benefits including holiday pay, a 401k retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide step-down care to patients recovering from acute conditions in a progressive care unit setting.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and composure during stressful and fast-paced moments in the healthcare setting.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a PCU RN, but exceptional candidates with a strong passion may be considered.
• Valid certification and/or licensure in the state of practice, if applicable.
• Valid Driver’s License and the ability to travel between assignment locations.
• Pass a background check and drug screen to meet healthcare industry standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a PCU RN is preferred, but we are open to exceptional candidates with a strong passion.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and composure, especially during stressful and fast-paced moments in the healthcare setting.
