About the Role

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry for a travel nursing assignment in Rome, New York. This position is in the Step-down Unit, focusing on adult and geriatric patient populations with complex medical needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor patients' conditions in a step-down/telemetry environment.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.
  • Document patient progress in the EMR system (Paragon and Pyxis).

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of step-down/telemetry experience required.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
  • Valid RN license in the state of practice.

Schedule

  • 13-week assignment starting 08/31/2026.
  • 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM).
