AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Portland, Maine. Transitional Care Unit looking for the right RN to join their team. 46 bed unit with up to 1:8 staffing. Typical patients are a mix of subacute medical and surgical, medically near ready for discharge. 700 bed Level 1 Trauma center and Teaching hospital. Coastal Maine location about 2 hours north of Boston.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a medical-surgical setting
• Manage a mix of subacute medical and surgical patients
• Prepare patients for discharge

Requirements

• 2 years of MS experience
• Registered Nurse license (Compact Accepted)
• BLS-AHA certification
• SSN and DOB required
• 2 references from entire work history

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Experience with EPIC preferred

Pay

Pay Rate: $2136.00 - $2246.00

Schedule

• 36 or 48 hours per week (RN's choice)
• 12-hour night shifts
• Start Date: 10/04/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
