About the role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing assignment in Wichita, Kansas. The agency, a Joint Commission‑certified staffing firm, is looking for a quality Med‑Surg registered nurse (RN) for a 13‑week travel assignment with one of its top healthcare clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for primarily adult patients before and after surgical procedures; attend to those being treated with pharmaceuticals to manage illness.
- Be well‑versed in a large variety of health conditions due to the broad range of medical conditions encountered.
- Complete assignments made by physicians.
- Provide routine treatment and post‑surgical care.
- Assess changes in patient's health status and perform various treatments.
- Administer medication.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of medication and treatment administration to ensure continuity of care between nursing staff, physicians and other treatment team members.
Requirements
- Active RN License
- Degree from an accredited nursing program
- BLS Certification
- Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Med/Surg setting
- Other requirements to be determined by the client facility
