Job Summary

Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position in Cape Girardeau, MO. This role involves delivering nursing care in a 23-bed post-surgical medical-surgical unit, supporting patients recovering from various surgical procedures while ensuring high-quality patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, and defining interventions
• Support patients and families emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually
• Observe changing patient conditions and re-evaluate care plans accordingly
• Communicate effectively as part of the healthcare team

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of post-surgical experience (not OR), including urology, ortho, general, and medical overflow
• Willingness to learn and take on charge responsibilities
• Current licensure to practice as an RN

Preferred Qualifications

• Peri Dialysis experience

Schedule

• Shift: Nights, 7p-7a
• 36 hours per week
• Duration: 20 weeks
