Travel Medical Surgical RN - $1,845 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Saint Louis, Missouri. The right candidate should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.

Requirements

• BLS certification
• NIH certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (1‑2 years preferred)
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Able to easily lift 20 pounds; moving/lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds
• Capable of working in a fast‑paced environment with patients who may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Start date: 10/12/2026; Duration: 13 weeks; 36 hours per week; Shift: 12 hours, nights.
