Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour Day shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- North Carolina or Compact license
- BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
- Able to assist with bedside procedures
- Travel experience
- Familiarity with procedures such as chest tubes, wound vacs, central lines, Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, and bedside I & D
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EPIC electronic charting system
Additional Information
- The unit has 36 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6, providing care for patients with conditions such as COPD exacerbation, acute renal failure, sepsis, dehydration, stroke, and post-surgical recovery.
- Common procedures include wound care, chest tube management, paracentesis, and medication administration with agents like Heparin, Lasix, Insulin, and Coumadin.
- Equipment includes IV pumps, feeding pumps, SCD machines, and glucose meters.
- The care delivery system incorporates Charge Nurses, Primary Nurses, and Nursing Assistants.

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
