Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Rehabilitation in Asheville, NC. This inpatient role involves providing comprehensive care to patients in a 65-bed rehabilitation unit at an inpatient facility. The position requires delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and rehabilitation processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in a 65-bed rehabilitation unit
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and rehabilitation
- Operate and manage equipment such as IV pumps, specialty beds, feeding pumps, lifts and transfer equipment, and life vests
- Support dialysis procedures performed by mission-based nurses in dedicated dialysis rooms
Requirements
- Valid nursing license
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or higher
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting
- Ability to work in Asheville, NC
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts, days
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Primarily on weekends
Unit Details
- 65-bed rehabilitation unit
- Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) available for all shifts
- 11 hours of unit secretary support
- CARF and Joint Commission accredited inpatient rehabilitation hospital
- Specialized post-acute care including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and amputation recovery
