Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse - $1,956 per week
About the Role
Travel nursing position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Surgical (Med Surg) specialty. This assignment is located in Hendersonville, North Carolina and spans 13 weeks with a schedule of 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts. Employment type is travel.
The Medical Surgical unit is a 37-bed unit providing care for a diverse patient population with both oncologic and general medical-surgical needs. Core patient populations include individuals undergoing active cancer treatment, post-surgical oncology cases, and those requiring symptom management for complications such as neutropenia, pain crises, and disease progression. The unit also supports end-of-life and palliative care when appropriate. In addition to oncology-focused care, nurses manage a range of medical-surgical diagnoses, requiring a broad clinical skill set. The unit serves the majority of bariatric patients returning from surgery as the facility is a Bariatric Center of Excellence. While there is a small element of oncology, this is not a major patient population for the floor, and chemotherapy is typically not managed here.
