Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse - $1,912 per week

About the role

The Orthopedic unit is a 34-bed surgical specialty unit focused on the care of patients undergoing operative and non-operative management of musculoskeletal conditions. Nurses are experienced in post operative care, pain management (including PCA and multimodal regimens), neurovascular assessments, and early mobilization protocols. Close collaboration with orthopedic surgeons, physical and occupational therapy, and care management is essential to achieving optimal functional outcomes and efficient patient progression.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients undergoing operative and non-operative management of musculoskeletal conditions.
• Provide post-operative care, including pain management and early mobilization protocols.
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physical and occupational therapy, and care management teams.
• Ensure efficient patient progression and optimal functional outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in North Carolina.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Experience in a surgical setting preferred.
