Job Summary

The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Float Nurse for a night shift position at a healthcare facility in Laconia, New Hampshire. This role involves providing acute care in a hospital setting, with responsibilities including managing Cardizem and insulin drips, and potentially floating to different units within the facility.

Job Details

• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 2 years of experience in an acute care setting
• Experience with Cardizem and insulin drips (for hyperglycemia, not diabetic ketoacidosis)
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications
• NURSYS report verification of licenses
• Willingness to include requested time off (RTO) at the time of submission

Preferred Qualifications

• Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred but not required

Additional Information

• The candidate must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Exam during onboarding
• Local candidates (within 50 miles) are preferred
• Candidates may be requested to float to the main hospital location in Laconia, NH
• Experience in acute care and ability to handle Cardizem and insulin drips are essential

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
