Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing on blood and bodily fluids using advanced laboratory equipment.
• Examine specimens for bacteria, viruses, or parasites.
• Measure drug and chemical levels in specimens.
• Analyze blood for nutrient deficiencies or excesses.
• Utilize cell counters, microscopes, and other tools as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Hold active certification through ASCP, AMT, HEW, or AAB.
• Have at least eighteen months of relevant experience.
• May require a state license.
• Understand laboratory procedures, equipment operation, and report generation.
